Swiss IODP/ICDP Exhibit at the 9th Swiss Geoscience Meeting Zurich, 2011

The 9th Swiss Geoscience Meeting was hosted by the Department of Earth Sciences, ETH-Zurich from 11-13 November 2011. On Saturday, 12 November, a series of scientific symposia were held in the recently renovated NO Building, where the open space of the focusTerra provided a perfect venue for poster presentations, as well as space for special exhibits.  To this end, an exhibit sponsored by Swiss IODP/ICDP displayed posters presenting the Swiss contribution to the international drilling programs, as well as a wide assortment of pamphlets and other informational material. Swiss scientists, whose research profits from access to the various drilling platforms of IODP/ICDP, staffed the exhibit throughout the day. The exhibit was ideally located close to the beverage service and, as a result, was well visited, particularly during the coffee breaks.  Many friends and colleagues stopped by to chat and learn more about Swiss participation in IODP/ICDP.
